Water Purification and Activation Filter Media Microporous Ceramic Balls

Main components of microporous ceramic balls: 70-95 parts mineral composite adsorption material, 3-25 parts photocatalytic degradation material, and 2-15 parts inorganic antibacterial material. The mineral composite adsorption material is made from sepiolite, diatomite, maifan stone, and attapulgite; the photocatalytic degradation material is made from titanium oxide, tourmaline, and far-infrared ceramic powder; the inorganic antibacterial material is made from zinc oxide, cerium oxide, and silver oxide.

Functions:
(1) Antibacterial Function
The microporous ceramic balls feature ultra-microporosity, allowing inorganic antibacterial agents to disperse throughout the surface and internal micropores of the balls, creating countless effective antibacterial points. When the balls come into contact with water, water enters the internal micropores. According to the contact antibacterial principle, the micropores significantly enhance antibacterial effectiveness. Tests show that microporous antibacterial balls have nearly ten thousand times more antibacterial contact points compared to ordinary silver ion antibacterial balls, resulting in strong antibacterial performance and long-lasting effectiveness. National building materials industry environmental monitoring tests confirm that the product achieves over 95% kill and inhibition rates against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus within 24 hours.
(2) Water Purification Function
The specific surface area of microporous balls can reach 500 m²/g. When water flows through the microporous balls, it enters the pores and micropores. The balls adsorb organic matter, microorganisms, and residual chlorine in water, while also exchanging with heavy metal ions to remove them. Microporous antibacterial balls exhibit significant adsorption performance for various heavy metal ions, bacteria, nitrites, residual chlorine, and other organic substances. Their adsorption capability is due to their porous and sponge-like structure, large specific surface area, and strong adsorption capacity for highly polar molecules such as CO₂ and NH₄⁺.
(3) Water Activation Function
Microporous balls emit strong far-infrared radiation. When ordinary water molecules come into contact with them, the far-infrared radiation intensely vibrates the water molecular cluster structure, breaking hydrogen bonds and transforming large water molecule clusters into small clusters containing only 5–6 water molecules.
